Renovalue
RenoValue was a 2-year project funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme of the European Union. The project has developed a training toolkit for property valuation professionals on how to factor energy efficiency and renewable energy issues into valuation practices, understand the impact of building performance and property values and advise their clients accordingly.
Empirical studies consistently show that within several markets around the globe property pricing differs between buildings with “green features” and buildings without them.
Evidence shows that these features are translating into higher value in the form of:
- increased rental rates;
- higher sale prices;
- increased occupancy rates;
- lower operating expenses;
- faster marketing-times;
- higher net operating income;
- lower capitalization rates;
- increased workers’ productivity (for commercial buildings).
The project consortium consists of the following entities/organizations:
- Business Solution Europa
- RICS
- KIT
- National Energy Conservation Agency
- Politecnico Milano
- CBRE
- Troostwijk
- Skanska
In order to disseminate the RenoValue training material among interested valuation professionals all over Europe, RenoValue welcomed pledges of interest by organizations, willing to promote it in their own network, in their own countries.
To this end, RenoValue has established a partnership with INZEB. As a part of this agreement, INZEB acts as an external partner with the main aim to promote RenoValue in Greece and Cyprus, making all the training material available in Greek and deliver the pilot training in both countries.
For more information regarding the project as well as the training opportunities in Greece and Cyprus, you may contact us at hello[at]inzeb.org mentioning RENOVALUE in the mail subject.
